Prep Cook

About This Role

Prep Cook responsible for preparing food items for service in the kitchen or concessions at The Greek Theatre, ensuring food safety and quality standards while supporting the culinary team.

Responsibilities

• Set up stations and collect all necessary supplies to prepare food for service
• Properly label and date prepared, cooked or raw food items for storage
• Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products
• Comply consistently with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies, and procedures
• Use food preparation tools in accordance with manufacturer instructions
• Perform opening, side and closing duties according to specified standards
• Maintain a prepared and sanitary work area
• Assist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas
• Assist in receiving all food items delivered by Vendors to their correct locations
• Constantly use safe and hygienic food handling practices

Requirements

• Must be 18 to apply
• High school diploma or GED
• Current ServeSafe certification
• Negative TB test
• Ability to take directions and effectively perform the work
• At least (1) year experience in a food service prepping raw meats, vegetables and dairy
