Practice Manager

About This Role

The Practice Manager leads the operational and financial management of medical practices, overseeing business and administrative personnel, developing budgets, and ensuring effective revenue cycle management. This role provides leadership on initiatives, manages teams, and is responsible for the overall administration of practice operations across multiple clinic sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership on initiatives, projects, or programs, collaborating to plan, implement, and evaluate services.
• Manage all business and administrative personnel in their medical practice.
• Develop and manage operating budgets, with ongoing P&L financial responsibility.
• Participate in the development and monitoring of staffing and retention strategies, including hiring and terminating employees.
• Partner with department leadership for effective performance management of direct reports and establish new employee orientation procedures.
• Manage the selection, development, motivation, appraisal, and discipline of personnel, ensuring clear job requirements and goals.
• Delegate responsibilities and establish clear lines of responsibility and accountability.
• Work with finance and clinical departments to develop and monitor third-party payor pricing strategies.
• Develop and implement effective policies and practices for revenue cycle management.
• Oversee all revenue cycle and medical billing in collaboration with Physician and Hospital Billing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Experience managing 3+ clinic sites OR 6+ direct reports OR an operating budget of $4M+

• Bachelor's degree in a related field OR equivalent experience
• 5+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
