Power Generation Technician II

About This Role

Maintains and repairs power generation systems, including generators, transfer switches, and switchgear, to ensure efficient operation. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing issues, and conducting regular maintenance to support field operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair generator systems, transfer switches, switchgear, and other mechanical and electrical equipment
• Ensure various machines operate efficiently and reliably
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with generator systems
• Utilize specialized equipment to identify faulty components and install replacement parts
• Conduct regular system maintenance such as lubrication and load testing
• Provide support to the Field Operations Lead (TSC) by assisting in managing calendars and setting reminders
• Assist with coordination between FOCUS Center Managers, Integrators/IPT Leads, and field operations personnel
• Help to organize training materials and sessions, including preparing training booklets and printing agendas
• Organize and prepare for meetings, including setting up spaces and ensuring materials are available
• Manage day-to-day tasks such as emails, ordering supplies, and making travel arrangements to support the team

Requirements

• Experience maintaining and repairing power generation systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
• Proficiency in conducting regular system maintenance
• Secret clearance

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 1 year experience with no degree
• Entry-level experience with 0-1 years, potentially for an SCA Role
