About This Role

This Quality Control Inspector role involves monitoring and evaluating maintenance and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations, and preparing discrepancy reports at Pensacola NASP USN for COMBS and T-6 operations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, observe, and evaluate Maintenance in the COMBs and Safety Procedures
  • Perform PT6A-68 Engine QEC Build-Up/Tear-Down procedures, including documentation
  • Monitor and coordinate Hazmat receiving functions to comply with Base Hazmat requirements
  • Ensure compliance with procedures
  • Monitor and report on COMBS warehouse supply
  • Assist warehouse-receiving clerks with receiving inspections during peak periods
  • Inspect Hazmat deliveries for compliance and coordinate to meet base requirements
  • Investigate and submit items for warranty claims when required
  • Accomplish forms and documentation reviews
  • Advise management on revising inspection/receiving regulations as needed

Requirements

  • Documented proof of aircraft mechanic experience
  • Familiarity with FAR's relating to aircraft components, parts, hardware and equipment (FAR Part 21 and FAR Part 43)
  • Thorough knowledge of warehouse shipping and receiving
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to deal courteously with the customer
  • Knowledge of military or commercial aviation maintenance
  • Knowledge of U.S. Government regulations for federal contractors and FAA Maintenance programs
  • Knowledge of aircraft maintenance terminology
  • Extensive working knowledge in logistics and data information

Qualifications

  • Graduation from a standard four (4) year high school or equivalent (GED)
  • Minimum of five (5) years recent experience in aircraft maintenance
