This Plumber Level II role involves performing a wide range of plumbing duties, including installations, repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plumbing systems. The individual will apply in-depth knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations, strong problem-solving abilities, and leadership skills to complex projects.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, drains, and water heaters
- Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify and diagnose issues or defects
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to plan plumbing system layouts and installations
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other team members to discuss project requirements and timelines
- Estimate materials, equipment, and labor costs for plumbing projects
- Carry out installations and repairs of plumbing fixtures, such as sinks, toilets, showers, and water heaters
- Cut, thread, and bend pipes using appropriate tools and techniques
- Clean up job sites and ensure proper disposal of waste materials
- Weld, solder, or join pipes using approved methods
- Test plumbing systems for leaks and ensure proper functioning
- Troubleshoot plumbing problems and provide effective solutions
- Adhere to plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior plumbers and helpers
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Coordinate with suppliers to procure plumbing materials and equipment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Plumber Helper or Apprentice or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and best practices
- Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, materials, and tools
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Plumber Helper or Apprentice or similar role.
