Plumber II

About This Role

This Plumber Level II role involves performing a wide range of plumbing duties, including installations, repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plumbing systems. The individual will apply in-depth knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations, strong problem-solving abilities, and leadership skills to complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, drains, and water heaters
• Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify and diagnose issues or defects
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to plan plumbing system layouts and installations
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other team members to discuss project requirements and timelines
• Estimate materials, equipment, and labor costs for plumbing projects
• Carry out installations and repairs of plumbing fixtures, such as sinks, toilets, showers, and water heaters
• Cut, thread, and bend pipes using appropriate tools and techniques
• Clean up job sites and ensure proper disposal of waste materials
• Weld, solder, or join pipes using approved methods
• Test plumbing systems for leaks and ensure proper functioning
• Troubleshoot plumbing problems and provide effective solutions
• Adhere to plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior plumbers and helpers
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
• Coordinate with suppliers to procure plumbing materials and equipment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience as a Plumber Helper or Apprentice or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and best practices
• Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong understanding of plumbing systems, materials, and tools
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Effective communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Plumber Helper or Apprentice or similar role.
