Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

About This Role

Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide high-quality patient care in state-of-the-art urgent care centers in the Springfield, MO area. This role involves treating acute episodic conditions and recognizing serious conditions for proper patient direction.

Responsibilities

• Provide a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections
• Perform excellent assessment skills to recognize more serious conditions
• Direct patients to the emergency room for advanced care when necessary
• Perform applicable office procedures including but not limited to suturing, splinting

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree for Physician Assistants
• Master's Degree for Nurse Practitioners
• 2-5 years of post-residency clinical experience
• Minimum 18 months experience in applicable practice setting
• National Certification
• Active state medical licensure (ANNC or AANP)
• Work experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Room setting
• Applicable office procedures including but not limited to suturing, splinting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree for Physician Assistants, Master's Degree for Nurse Practitioners
• 2-5 years of post-residency clinical experience, with a minimum of 18 months in an applicable practice setting

Nice to Have

• Adult and pediatric practice experience
