Supervise the daily operations and staff of the Levine Cancer Institute Pineville Infusion Pharmacy, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and safe patient care. This role involves personnel management, cleanroom oversight, inventory supervision, and policy implementation.
Responsibilities
- Make decisions regarding employment, promotion, discipline, and termination of pharmacy team members in collaboration with Pharmacy Leadership
- Evaluate pharmacy teammate job performances annually
- Ensure the pharmacy department adheres to all regulatory bodies including DEA, FDA, and applicable state Board of Pharmacy
- Oversee pharmacy staffing and scheduling to ensure safe patient care
- Coordinate and integrate interdepartmental and intradepartmental services and participate in various committees
- Ensure that policies and procedures promoting safe and effective use of medications are followed
- Assist in the planning of new and/or revised pharmacy services based on new innovations, technology, and/or regulatory changes
- Assess and improve the performance of the pharmacy services provided
- Initiate proper training of pharmacy teammates in area of responsibilities
- Design, recommend, monitor and evaluate patient specific pharmacotherapeutic regimens
- Supervise daily preparation and dispensing of all pharmaceuticals
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or a PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy
- Licensed in the state of applicable state or eligible for reciprocity
- 2 years of work related experience in pharmacy
Qualifications
