Pharmacy Intern

About This Role

As a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and effective Retail Pharmacy work environment while delivering exceptional care to patients. This includes performing tasks under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and contributing to patient care programs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and effective Retail Pharmacy work environment
• Deliver exceptional care to each patient through patient safety, professional practice, and quality assurance
• Adhere to regulatory requirements
• Provide excellent customer service
• Manage inventory and workflow (excluding final prescription verification)
• Adopt and manage patient care programs
• Display empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues
• Seek new ways to grow, collaborate with others, and deliver better outcomes
• Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride

Requirements

• Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
• Possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work nights and weekends
• Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
• Finger dexterity
• Ability to reach overhead, extend hands/arms, and stoop
• Close visual acuity for tasks like transcribing, reading terminals, and visual inspection
• Ability to orally communicate information to colleagues and customers

Qualifications

• Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
• 0-3 years relevant work experience

Nice to Have

• Immunization eligibility
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
