Pharmacy Intern

About This Role

This role is for a 3rd year pharmacy intern who will gain professional experience and contribute to improving healthcare by ensuring a safe and effective Retail Pharmacy work environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and effective Retail Pharmacy work environment
• Deliver exceptional care to each patient through patient safety, professional practice, and quality assurance
• Manage inventory and workflow
• Lead with Heart, displaying empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues
• Collaborate with others to deliver better outcomes and align around the company's purpose
• Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride
• Adopt and manage patient care programs
• Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
• Complete any additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager

Requirements

• Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
• 0-3 years relevant work experience
• Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
• Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
• Finger Dexterity
• Ability to reach overhead
• Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) multiple directions
• Precision control
• Ability to stoop to a considerable degree
• Close Visual Acuity
• Ability to orally communicate information and instructions

Qualifications

• Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
• 0-3 years relevant work experience

Nice to Have

• Immunization eligibility
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
