About This Role

Join a new and growing Mainstreet team in Florida as a Personal Lines Placement Specialist, managing the new business and renewal processes for insurance accounts. This role involves analyzing exposures, negotiating coverage, and collaborating with internal and external partners to deliver high-quality service.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain timeline and process during new business and renewal process, including exposure analysis, quote specifications, analysis and negotiation of coverage offers, and preparation and presentation of coverage proposals
  • Communicate effectively within the team environment and with markets
  • Review insurance policies and contracts and make recommendations for improvement
  • Prepare property and casualty insurance submissions for new business prospects and renewing accounts
  • Analyze excel spreadsheets of prospect client exposure and/or loss data
  • Maintain familiarity and working relationship with various insurance companies and wholesalers
  • Handle confidential and non-routine information
  • Rating policies in carrier systems to assist in quoting and proposal development
  • Abide by and maintain all licensing requirements, including continuing education
  • Attend seminars, company meetings, carrier events and educational activities
  • Perform coverage gap analysis and deliver strategic coverage recommendations
  • Work independently and within a team on special and nonrecurring and ongoing projects
  • Identify opportunities to engage Risk Resources for specialized expertise and partner with them

Requirements

  • 3-5 years’ relevant insurance experience, with an emphasis on middle to large market placements
  • 3-5 years experience quoting commercial insurance lines in Florida
  • Proficient with MS Office Products, including high knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with strong customer service skills
  • Experience with a broker/agent, including marketing large middle market accounts to carriers
  • Excellent knowledge of the markets
  • Strong knowledge of all basic applicable insurance coverages
  • Proficient in creating proposal presentation documents
  • Must currently hold an applicable insurance license (4-40/2-20)

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ relevant insurance experience, with an emphasis on middle to large market placements. 3-5 years experience quoting commercial insurance lines in Florida.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Epic
  • Pursuit of a professional designation (CRM, CISR, CIC, AAI, ARM, CPCU)
