Personal Banker

About This Role

This role involves building lasting customer relationships by identifying their financial needs, educating them on banking products and digital solutions, and ensuring accurate transactions. The Personal Banker acts as a brand ambassador for Commerce Bank, focusing on providing excellent customer service and contributing to individual and team sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Educate customers on a variety of retail products and digital solutions
• Ensure financial transactions are completed accurately and efficiently, complying with regulations
• Actively listen to customers to make appropriate recommendations that match their needs
• Establish relationships with internal departments and refer customers to bank specialists for complex needs
• Interact with customers both in person and through proactive phone calls to meet financial needs
• Interact with customers both in person and over the phone for needs-based conversations and sales fulfillment
• Make recommendations of products and services based on customer needs to achieve sales and service goals
• Identify complex financial needs and refer customers to bank specialists when appropriate

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years sales or customer service experience
• Strong sales skills with the ability to provide excellent customer experience
• Ability to meet personal and branch sales and customer services expectations
• Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Adaptability to various situations with an optimistic outlook
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1+ years sales or customer service experience required
