Personal Banker I

About This Role

This Personal Banker I role focuses on building strong customer relationships and identifying their financial needs to provide exceptional service. You will assist with transactions, open new accounts, take loan applications, and recommend financial solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming environment and communicate professionally with customers and team members
• Consistently execute exceptional quality service by serving others
• Apply strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve and identify financial solutions
• Provide a complete range of customer service, including opening all types of new accounts and cross-selling bank products/services
• Actively contribute to banking center and individual sales/referral goals by cross-selling and referring customers to business partners
• Assist teller line as needed and maintain and balance the cash drawer
• Participate in job specific training and other various Bank training programs
• Maintain current knowledge of internal risk controls and loss prevention, including reporting suspicious activity
• Maintain current knowledge and comply with all federal and state laws and regulations and established Bank policies and procedures, including internal audit controls
• Maintain current knowledge of all rules, regulations, and laws as they apply to BSA/OFAC/USA Patriot Act/CIP/AML

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year of cash handling experience
• 1 year of Banking experience
• Ability to learn and adapt to new information and technology platforms
• Experience using personal computers, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field, preferred
• 1 year of cash handling experience; 1 year of banking experience

Nice to Have

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field
• Thorough understanding of corporate business account documentation and consumer loan documentation, including proficiency with BSA and CIP
