Personal Banker

About This Role

This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service, identifying sales opportunities, and performing account transactions in a full-service banking center. The Personal Banker drives daily sales initiatives by proactively interacting with customers in person and via phone, focusing on onboarding, prospecting, and cross-selling banking relationships.

Responsibilities

• Foster a positive work environment inside the banking center
• Provide excellent customer service and identify sales opportunities
• Consistently execute consumer-based and business relationship building efforts
• Meet with customers to discuss specific banking needs in person and via phone
• Initiate outbound telephone calls for customer onboarding, new customer prospecting, and cross-selling
• Assist the Banking Center Manager in targeted outside sales activities
• Participate in community service opportunities
• Comply with all established Bank policies, procedures, and security measures
• Operate as a teller and assist in supervising/supporting banking center sales and operational objectives
• Effectively assess financial needs of clients and make appropriate recommendations

Requirements

• Willingness to register and maintain registry with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS)
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook 365
• Proficient computer skills and ability to learn Banking Software programs
• Ability to generate new financial relationships through outbound calling, internal business development, and building loyal customer base
• Ability to effectively interact and build positive customer relationships
• Ability to clearly express concepts, ideas, and product information verbally and in writing
• Strong product knowledge for selling and cross-selling
• Ability to interpret various instructions
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task and be flexible
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Availability to work all hours of operations

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
