Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist

About This Role

This role supports a newly established in-house pharmacy within a healthcare network, dispensing medications and counseling patients in a retail setting. It focuses on ensuring safe and effective medication distribution for the community. This position offers a consistent part-time schedule on a per diem basis.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently
• Counsel patients on proper medication use and potential side effects
• Verify prescription orders for accuracy and compliance with regulations
• Maintain patient records and documentation as required
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care plans
• Adhere to all state and federal pharmacy laws and guidelines

Requirements

• Licensed Pharmacist eligible to practice in Indiana
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, medication therapies, and counseling practices
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
