Per Diem Physical Therapist

About This Role

This role involves evaluating and treating patients with various disabilities, injuries, and diseases using physical, chemical, and mechanical methods. The Physical Therapist will design and modify treatment programs, maintaining comprehensive medical records and participating in quality improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Administer direct patient care in accordance with physician prescriptions and referrals
• Utilize appropriate evaluation techniques with efficiency and thoroughness
• Design a treatment program to achieve established goals
• Make accurate observations of patient tolerance and/or status during treatment
• Modify treatment programs as needed
• Respond appropriately to established department emergency procedures for patient safety
• Submit required documentation in accordance with department policies and procedures
• Participate in quality improvement chart reviews and activities
• Attend family meetings/conferences and interact with inter-disciplinary staff

Requirements

• Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent combination of education and related experience
• Current License to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York State
• 0-3 years of relevant experience
