Per Diem Physical Therapist

About This Role

This role involves evaluating and treating patients with disabilities, injuries, and/or diseases using various physical means. The Physical Therapist will administer direct patient care, design treatment programs, and maintain complete medical records.

Responsibilities

• Administer direct patient care in accordance with the written and signed prescription of the referring physician or other State authorized practitioner
• Utilize appropriate evaluation techniques with efficiency and thoroughness
• Design a treatment program to achieve established goals
• Make accurate observations of patient tolerance and/or status during treatment
• Demonstrate the ability to modify a treatment program as needed
• Respond appropriately to established department emergency procedures for patient safety and care
• Submit required documentation in accordance with the policies and procedures of the department
• Participate in quality improvement chart reviews and activities
• Attend family meetings/conferences and interact with members of the inter-disciplinary staff pertaining to the welfare and management of assigned patients

Requirements

• Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent combination of education and related experience
• Current License to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York State
• 0-3 years of relevant experience
