Per Diem Physical Therapist

About This Role

This role involves planning, preparing, and carrying out individual physical treatment programs to improve or restore physical functioning and alleviate pain for patients, while also educating patients and families on continued care.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, or carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, or prevent physical dysfunction in patients
• Perform and document an initial exam, evaluating data to identify problems and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention
• Examine patients to assess general physical condition
• Record prognosis, treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart or enter information into computer
• Instruct patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home
• Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit
• Assist and care for others, providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support to colleagues and patients

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in physical therapy from an accredited educational program from the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education
• Valid Physical Therapy license or permit

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in physical therapy from an accredited educational program from the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education
• Minimum two years of physical therapy experience, preferred

Nice to Have

• Master’s/Doctorate Degree
• Minimum two years of physical therapy experience
• Other related certifications
