Per Diem Medicare Home Health Registered Nurse

About This Role

This highly autonomous Per Diem Registered Nurse role provides direct skilled nursing care to patients in their homes within Broward County, focusing on high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with individualized Plans of Care. The position offers flexible scheduling with the potential to transition to a full-time role.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care under the supervision of an RN
• Deliver safe and effective care based on individualized Plans of Care
• Promptly communicate changes in patient condition or emergencies to the care team
• Provide nursing services within scope of practice, including: Medication administration, Wound care, Infusion therapy, Catheter care, Transferring and positioning patients
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and strong attention to detail
• Anticipate issues and appropriately escalate or resolve concerns
• Prioritize tasks and respond with a sense of urgency
• Document accurately and timely in an electronic health record

Requirements

• Medicare home health experience
• Active Florida Registered Nurse license
• 2 years of Home Health experience
• OASIS experience
• EMR experience
• Strong wound care and infusion skills
• Ability to document accurately and timely in an electronic health record

Qualifications

• 2 years of Home Health experience
