Provide direct services as a Peer Support Specialist, guiding and supporting individuals with mental health, substance use, or trauma conditions toward increased wellness by sharing personal recovery experiences in an inspirational way.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct services to individuals with mental health, substance use, or trauma conditions
- Guide and support others toward increased wellness from personal experience of recovery
- Share learned recovery insights in an inspirational way
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma/GED
- A mental health/SUD lived experience
- 80-hour Peer Support Learning or equivalent (completed within 90 days of hire or within 2 years of hire)
- Current techniques of behavioral intervention training (within six months of hire)
