About This Role

Provide comprehensive pediatric nursing care in a rural healthcare setting, managing patient care independently within guidelines and collaborating with healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions to achieve the best possible outcomes
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to create and carry out personalized care plans
• Accurately document patient conditions, treatments, and progress; promptly communicate any changes to relevant team members
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments while adhering strictly to institutional policies and protocols
• Educate patients and families about disease management, treatment options, and preventive healthcare measures
• Provide emotional support and advocate for patients rights to ensure compassionate, respectful care
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards to uphold a safe and ethical work environment
• Engage in continuous learning by staying current with medical advancements and best nursing practices

Requirements

• Current RN licensure with pediatric nursing experience
• Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care independently
• Strong collaboration and communication skills within multidisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with medication administration and patient education
• Willingness to work in a rural location with challenging winter travel
• Commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and following healthcare regulations
• Reside at least 50 miles from the facility
