This role involves providing comprehensive speech and language services to K-12 students in an onsite school setting, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication disorders. The Speech-Language Pathologist will collaborate with educators and parents to develop and implement effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Responsibilities
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for a diverse caseload of students with speech, language, and communication disorders across various grade levels (PreK-12th grade)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes and compliance with district/state requirements
- Utilize a caseload calculator to manage workload based on scheduled hours effectively
- Engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in pediatric speech and language therapy
Requirements
- Valid SLP certification with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Comfort working with a wide age range from preschool to high school
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Qualifications
- Entry level, experience in school-based speech-language services preferred
