About This Role

Provide excellent patient support by ensuring thorough completion of patient registration, maintaining accurate patient information and insurance coverage, and proficient scheduling. Ensure a consistently excellent patient experience by demonstrating a welcoming demeanor, addressing and collecting copayments, and providing administrative support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a friendly, courteous and welcoming first impression to patients and their families
  • Ensure all patient registration items, required data and documents are accurately captured and updated in the EHR
  • Accurately schedule all available services while effectively managing provider/clinician schedules
  • Consistently address and collect copayments and other amounts owed, informing patients of financial responsibility and referring for assistance when needed
  • Demonstrate dependability, patience, kind and professional communication, and willingness to assist colleagues
  • Ensure excellent attendance with minimal unplanned time off/call-offs and schedule planned time off as needed
  • Ensure all patient insurance and coverages have been properly verified and are accurately reflected in the EHR
  • Provide administrative support to the office including scanning, faxing and mailing
  • Demonstrate efficiency through multi-tasking and organization to ensure all daily tasks are consistently completed
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Epic and other necessary platforms to complete assigned tasks
  • Protect patient confidentiality and right to privacy by adhering to HIPAA regulations

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year office, customer service, or related experience
  • Experience working with an EHR system
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year office, customer service, or related experience. Medical office experience preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Medical office experience
  • Previous experience in a primary care or behavioral health setting
  • Knowledge of insurance, specifically Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and Medicaid
  • EPIC experience
