About This Role

This role is responsible for skillfully managing incoming patient communications, ensuring accurate registration, efficient appointment scheduling, and resolving inquiries or complaints.

Responsibilities

  • Professionally and enthusiastically answer incoming calls and electronic requests from patients, family members, and other external parties.
  • Register new patients and schedule healthcare appointments.
  • Address questions, handle complaints, troubleshoot problems, and provide information.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies or missing information and accurately enter data into the electronic medical record system.
  • Verify insurance coverage or determine patient self-pay responsibility and provide cost information.
  • Schedule healthcare appointments based on need, patient request, and in accordance with system and clinic guidelines.
  • Interpret physician orders to schedule appointments and ancillary tests.

Requirements

  • Ability to pass PSS or CCS training program and competency exam.
  • Customer service experience

Qualifications

  • Prior customer service experience is strongly preferred
