Patient Service Representative Float Pool

About This Role

This Patient Service Representative will be part of a Clerical Float Pool, supporting various medical clinics in the Treasure Valley by handling patient administrative needs and ensuring a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Check in patients for appointments
• Collect patient co-pays
• Answer telephones and take accurate messages
• Schedule appointments
• Check insurance eligibility
• Update required information using electronic medical record (EPIC)
• Verify and update existing patient and insurance information
• Collect, record, and communicate patient balances
• Assist patients with Financial Assistance Paperwork
• Balance daily financial activities and ensure payment collection at time of service

Requirements

• Previous customer service experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous customer service experience required. Healthcare experience preferred.

Nice to Have

• Healthcare experience
• Electronic health record (EHR) experience
• Medical terminology preferred
• Experience with process improvement or lean philosophy
