Serve as the primary contact for patients and families with unmet expectations, acting as a professional liaison with internal departments to promote optimal patient care. Address and resolve concerns, ensuring patient satisfaction, and assist with policy interpretation.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for patients and families when care or outcomes do not meet expectations
- Function as a resource and professional liaison with internal departments
- Promote the primary goal of optimal care to the patient
- Identify and resolve patient and family member concerns regarding services and staff
- Maintain cooperative work relationships with other departments to respond quickly to patient concerns
- Assist with and actively be involved in patient satisfaction surveys and patient grievance plans
- Assist in interpretation of policies and procedures for patients, families, and visitors
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, business, nursing, psychology or other applicable science or six years equivalent work experience within internal patient-related, customer service hospital experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, business, nursing, psychology or other applicable science
- Six years equivalent work experience within internal patient-related, customer service hospital experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree
