Patient Care Technician

About This Role

This role provides essential patient care under the direction of nursing staff, focusing on patient safety and well-being within a medical-surgical overflow unit.

Responsibilities

• Answer patient calls and assist patients with eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Feed patients, measure, and record their food and liquid intake.
• Monitor and document patients' temperature, blood pressure, and other vital signs, reporting changes to nurses or doctors.
• Assist nurses or doctors with medical procedures and wound dressing.

Requirements

• BLS certification

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
