Registered Nurse - Endoscopy Surgery

About This Role

This Registered Nurse role involves providing comprehensive nursing care, utilizing the nursing process, and addressing complex patient needs in an Endoscopy Surgery setting. The nurse will administer medications, document care, and educate patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments, monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers

Requirements

• Current BLS certification
• Current RN License in state of employment or compact
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS or ENPC certification

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred
• 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred

Nice to Have

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
• 1 year of experience in endoscopy or related nursing specialty
• Perioperative RN Residency or recent practice in an OR/Perioperative setting
