RN, Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

About This Role

The competent Nurse practices independently and manages routine and complex patient care, demonstrating an awareness of relevant aspects of each situation. Provides care utilizing the nursing process and delegates tasks to other care providers.

Responsibilities

• Meet expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies
• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients
• Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patient and families
• Administer medications and treatments; monitor for side-effects and effectiveness of the treatment prescribed
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members and/or care givers; identify issues and resources

Requirements

• RN License in state of employment or compact
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification
• TNCC certification

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
