RN, Registered Nurse - Telemetry

About This Role

The Registered Nurse in Telemetry provides routine and complex nursing care independently, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care. This role involves managing contingencies of clinical nursing and delegating assignments to other care providers.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patient and families.
• Administers medications and treatments; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or care givers; identifies issues and resources.

Requirements

• Current BLS certification
• RN License in state of employment or compact
• Current ACLS certification

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred
• 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
