About This Role

This Patient Care Technician role involves performing direct and indirect patient care activities under the supervision of a Nurse Leader at Backus Hospital. The position supports a safe and efficient care environment, ensuring a positive patient experience in accordance with hospital standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform specific duties that support patient care
• Engage in direct and indirect patient care activities to ensure a safe and efficient care environment
• Perform selected interventions and activities that contribute to providing comprehensive care to patients
• Ensure a positive patient experience along with the care team

Requirements

• No experience required
• Successful completion of PCT specific HHC orientation
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date

Qualifications

• No experience required, training provided on-site.

Nice to Have

• High school diploma or GED
• Some relevant experience in an acute care hospital environment
• Current certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Certification as a CNA, CPCT/A, EMT or CMA
