As a Patient Care Technician, you will be a crucial member of a collaborative nursing care team, delivering hands-on care and helping create a safe, welcoming environment for patients. This role involves assisting with patient preparations, providing non-medicated care, maintaining cleanliness, managing supplies, and communicating with patients, families, and the care team.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth procedures and recovery
- Provide non-medicated care like dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
- Keep patient areas, operating rooms, and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
- Manage supplies, equipment, and environmental logs to keep the team ready and protect patients through infection control
- Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team while promoting safety and quality efforts
Requirements
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification (within 30 days of employment start date)
