About This Role

The Patient Care Coordinator will serve as the first point of contact for patients at a Fort Worth clinic, delivering exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations, appointment scheduling, and administrative tasks. This role involves close collaboration with clinical and operational teams to ensure a smooth daily workflow and a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Verify patient demographics, insurance, and eligibility information.
  • Collect co-pays and ensure necessary forms and authorizations are completed.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments, referrals, and lab or imaging visits.
  • Answer incoming calls promptly and courteously.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming reception area.
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines and always protect patient confidentiality.
  • Comply with clinic policies, quality standards, and operational procedures.

Requirements

  • Experience in a healthcare front desk, customer service, or administrative role.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and customer interaction).
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Proficiency in scheduling systems and EMR platforms (or willingness to learn).

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a medical clinic, hospital, wellness center, or patient-facing role.
  • Familiarity with insurance verification or prior authorization workflows.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • A positive, team-oriented work approach and a commitment to excellent service.
