About This Role

The Patient Care Associate assists the registered/licensed nurse in clinical support functions, working as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team to promote a safe and compassionate patient care environment at Newton-Wellesley Hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in clinical support functions under the direction of a registered/licensed nurse (RN)
  • Promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team

Requirements

  • Certification as a CNA, PCT, MA, EMT or commensurate experience
  • Successful completion of the NWH Patient Care Associate Training Program (if not certified)
  • Nursing student who has completed fundamentals of nursing with a clinical component (clinical rotation or simulation lab)

Nice to Have

  • Nursing students enrolled in BSN programs or direct-entry Masters’ programs

Certifications

CNA (Required) EMT (Required) MA (Required) PCT (Required)
