Inpatient Rehabilitation Aide

About This Role

This role involves providing direct patient care by assisting licensed therapists with routine exercises and functional activities for rehabilitation patients. The Rehabilitation Aide also helps maintain a clean and orderly treatment area.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine exercises or follow-up of functional activities (direct patient care) under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist or therapy assistant
• Prepare patients for treatment by therapist
• Assist therapists during therapy
• Transfer and transport patients in a safe and timely manner
• Maintain equipment and working area in clean, orderly condition
• Attend and actively participate in team meetings

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
• Good physical strength and stamina for lifting and moving immobile patients

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• 0-1 year experience working as a Rehab Aid preferred
