This role involves providing direct patient care by assisting licensed therapists with routine exercises and functional activities for rehabilitation patients. The Rehabilitation Aide also helps maintain a clean and orderly treatment area.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine exercises or follow-up of functional activities (direct patient care) under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist or therapy assistant
- Prepare patients for treatment by therapist
- Assist therapists during therapy
- Transfer and transport patients in a safe and timely manner
- Maintain equipment and working area in clean, orderly condition
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Good physical strength and stamina for lifting and moving immobile patients
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- 0-1 year experience working as a Rehab Aid preferred
