Manager, Facility Operations

About This Role

This role is responsible for the overall day-to-day management of an assigned facility or group of locations at North Shore Medical Center. This includes ensuring contracted services are provided, maintaining safety and security, performing inspections, and supervising special projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure work order requests are processed timely and work product is high quality
• Problem-solve and negotiate contractor issues, holding vendors/contractors accountable
• Ensure preventive maintenance schedules for buildings and equipment are followed and completed timely
• Ensure safety standards are followed throughout the facility
• Serve as a key lead role on the emergency preparedness planning team
• Participate in staff hiring, work allocation, training, performance management, and other supervisory functions
• Monitor, problem-solve, and implement quality improvement initiatives that support program goals

Requirements

• 5-7 years Facilities Maintenance Experience
• 1-2 years Supervisory Experience
• Knowledge of general building maintenance and safety requirements
• Ability to effectively communicate with peers, co-workers, and service providers
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Strong project management skills
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Solid computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft programs

Qualifications

• Associate's degree Related Field of Study or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study preferred
• 5-7 years facilities maintenance experience required and 1-2 years supervisory experience required.

Nice to Have

• Underground Storage Tank Class A/B Operator [UST A/B - Massachusetts] certification
