Client Service Associate

About This Role

This Client Service Associate position supports client services, including client support, scheduling logistics, materials fulfillment, data tracking, invoice inquiry, and workflow support for MGPO Dermatopathology. The role involves managing new and existing accounts with a Sales Associate, and developing weekly and monthly client activity reports.

Responsibilities

• Handle all patients’ billing problems and inquiries, triaging to resolve problems and explaining fee structures and insurance requirements.
• Provide supply fulfillment, including requisitions, and develop a schedule to manage supply needs.
• Use EPIC to research invoices and identify information to answer billing questions.
• Identify denied accounts and update insurance to support proactive account management.
• Identify insurance updates based upon patient calls, to be updated by the registration associate, and track changes as part of the QA process.
• Liaison between clients and MGPO Dermatopathology, managing the process and following up on timely receipt of slides and blocks.
• Oversee incoming calls and basic reception, triaging calls and resolving client requests, including report location and case timing.
• Maintain weekly reports on key data points, tracking client service.
• Support patient information requests between MGPO Dermatopathology and Client Office.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 3-5 years relevant experience
• 2-3 years experience in a healthcare setting with knowledge of 3rd party payers and billing
• Excellent customer service skills
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong attention to detail

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 3-5 years relevant experience required, 4-6 years preferred. 2-3 years in a healthcare setting with knowledge of third-party payers and billing required.
