Patient Care Assistant - Telemetry

About This Role

This role involves assisting patients with daily living activities, providing basic nursing care, and helping maintain a safe environment under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living
• Provide basic nursing care to all patients
• Assist in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Illinois approved Certification required
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Nice to Have

• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire
• Current EKG certification upon hire
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office
