About This Role

The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with daily living activities and provides basic nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse within the Observation Unit.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living
Provide basic nursing care to all patients
Assist in maintenance of a safe environment under supervision of a Registered Nurse

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Illinois approved Certification
Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire
Knowledge of Medical Terminology

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred

Nice to Have

Current Phlebotomy certification
Current EKG certification
Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office
