Patient Care Assistant

About This Role

Assist patients with daily living tasks and basic hygiene under the direction of licensed personnel. Perform vital signs, documentation, and help with patient mobility to ensure quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs accurately and within established time frame
• Complete all documentation in the medical record as required
• Interact with patients and their families effectively
• Assist patients with basic hygiene tasks, including bathing, dressing, and using the toilet
• Help patients turn and reposition themselves in bed and move between bed and wheelchair

Requirements

• 1-2 years healthcare experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology
• Demonstrated typing skills and computer experience
• Good interpersonal, organizational, and oral and written communication skills
• Ability to lift and transport patients using appropriate physical technique

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
• 1-2 years healthcare experience required
