About This Role

This role involves performing comprehensive verification of health insurance coverage for patients. It requires obtaining financial and demographic information, verifying insurance details, and acting as a liaison between verification and reimbursement processes.

Responsibilities

• Obtain all financial and demographic information from the discharge planner and outside referrals
• Verify all required insurance information, including primary payor data
• Notify Nurses of any change in insurance information, as needed
• Provide information on all insurance coverage and patient financial responsibility to discharge planner
• Complete all required elements of the insurance verification form
• Enter verified insurance information into computer
• Act as a liaison between verifications and reimbursement

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of relevant experience
