Paramedic

About This Role

This Paramedic role is responsible for providing essential patient care in emergency and non-emergency environments, ensuring compliance with Georgia EMS regulations, and maintaining ambulance equipment readiness.

Responsibilities

• Respond to all calls for service dispatched from the Central EMS communications center as directed
• Provide care and treatment to patients according to company policy and medical director protocols
• Ensure ambulance and all equipment are cleaned and checked daily, reporting deficiencies immediately
• Prepare and complete appropriate reports including Patient Care Reports (PCR), billing, exposure reports, and incident reports
• Ensure unit and crew members adhere to Central EMS policies, procedures, guidelines, directives, and standards
• Maintain a state of readiness and professionalism while on-duty and in company uniform
• Maintain all company required licenses and certifications for an EMT-P position
• Attend mandatory training in addition to all EMT-P required courses

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• State of Georgia EMT-P License
• Basic Life Support Certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• PHTLS or equivalent certification (within 6 months of hire date)
• PALS or equivalent certification (within 6 months of hire date)
• EVOC or equivalent certification
• Current State of Georgia Drivers License
• Self-motivated and requires little supervision and direction
