Paramedic

About This Role

This Paramedic role is responsible for providing lifesaving procedures and patient care for First Call Ambulance, serving hospital and medical facility clients. The position requires adherence to protocols, defensive driving, and maintaining professionalism while transporting patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform as a Paramedic within the scope of practice set forth by the Medical Director and State EMS Agency
• Drive emergency or non-emergency vehicles using defensive driving training techniques
• Abide by company policies, procedures, and protocols
• Maintain a professional image, conduct, and attitude
• Work cooperatively with employees, healthcare personnel, patients, and family members
• Complete required paperwork and documents appropriately and completely
• Evaluate vehicles and equipment daily to ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper working order
• Report accidents, problems, incidents, failed equipment, and worker's compensation injuries promptly
• Complete required training and education to keep certifications and requirements current
• Ensure First Call Ambulance meets all local, state, and federal requirements

Requirements

• Current State License for State of Employment
• Ability to perform as a Paramedic within scope of practice
• Ability to drive emergency/non-emergency vehicles with defensive driving techniques
