Outpatient Pharmacist

About This Role

Provide pharmaceutical and drug information for patient care, compound medications, and monitor drug therapy. This is a full-time, floating pharmacist position working across WellSpan outpatient pharmacies.

Responsibilities

• Compound pharmaceutical preparations and/or label and package medications and pharmaceuticals
• Assist with and/or supervise IV preparation and/or delivery
• Advise patients and medical/nursing staff on medication use including dosage, side effects, interactions
• Ensure proper controls and records of narcotics and controlled substances per state and federal law
• Monitor drug therapy to identify, prevent or resolve actual or potential drug therapy problems
• Provide clinical pharmacy services as needed
• Administer immunizations and review patient profiles for qualification

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree Pharmacy
• Less than 1 year relevant experience
• Licensed Registered Pharmacist
• Authorization to Administer Injectables for Pharmacist
• Basic Life Support
• Completion of degree program from accredited school of pharmacy
