Outpatient Hand Therapist (CHT - OT or PT)

About This Role

This role involves performing comprehensive evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans for patients with upper extremity conditions, delivering skilled therapeutic interventions, and collaborating with medical teams to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for hand, wrist, elbow, and related upper extremity conditions
• Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, wound management, edema control, and custom splint fabrication
• Collaborate with surgeons, referring providers, and the clinical team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
• Use outcome tools and EMR documentation to track patient progress and communicate goals effectively
• Educate patients and caregivers on condition management, activity modification, and injury prevention
• Participate in program development and serve as a clinical resource within the hand therapy specialty

Requirements

• Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy program
• Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy license or eligibility for licensure in the state of practice
• Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy program

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in upper extremity/hand therapy
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) or actively working toward certification
