Physical Therapist - Inpatient

About This Role

Deliver individualized, evidence-based physical therapy to patients in an inpatient hospital setting, focusing on helping them regain mobility and function. This role involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team and managing a daily caseload.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized, evidence-based physical therapy to patients with orthopedic, neurological, post-surgical, and medically complex conditions in an inpatient setting
• Develop and progress plans of care focused on functional independence, safety, and discharge readiness
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, case managers, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Document evaluations, treatments, and progress accurately in EMR
• Manage a daily caseload appropriate to inpatient acuity levels, with dedicated time for documentation
• Contribute to a culture of clinical learning, teamwork, and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program
• Active state Physical Therapy license or eligibility for licensure
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and clinical reasoning skills
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Inpatient, acute care, or hospital-based experience preferred, but not required
