About This Role

Provide physical therapy services and interventions to patients, focusing on functional recovery and customized care plans. This role involves evaluation, treatment planning, discharge planning, and supervision of assistants within a collaborative healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide, direct, and/or oversee physical therapy services, including screening, evaluation, and treatment for patients.
  • Comply with state and federal guidelines for accurate and timely documentation and billing.
  • Establish and maintain effective, patient-centered interactions with patients, interdisciplinary team members, and facility staff.
  • Refer patients for treatment to Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and provide consultation and clinical supervision.
  • Directly supervise PTAs and Rehab Techs in accordance with State Practice Acts, OBRA requirements, and policies.
  • Participate in utilization review, care conferences, case management, administrative meetings, and interdisciplinary team activities.
  • Develop and enhance physical therapy programs, techniques, and services to support quality outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental safety, infection control, emergency preparedness, and patient rights policies.
  • Enhance clinical expertise through continuing education and professional development.
  • Maintain valid state licensure and remain informed of developments within the profession and healthcare environment.

  • Ability to perform duties in a healthcare environment with moderate noise levels
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Basic internet navigation

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an APTA-accredited school of physical therapy
