Outpatient Coordinator

About This Role

Support non-clinical functions for case management services in a high-volume call center, assisting Case Managers with scheduling, outreach, documentation, and administrative tasks to ensure effective member care.

Responsibilities

• Support Case Managers by coordinating non-clinical tasks essential to case management operations
• Work in a call center environment making outbound and receiving inbound member calls
• Schedule medical appointments, durable medical equipment, home health services, and other support services
• Perform eligibility and benefit verifications
• Request, track, and manage medical records
• Complete accurate and timely data entry
• Review medical management reports and identify discrepancies
• Conduct outbound telephonic outreach to members regarding Case Management programs
• Maintain accurate and reliable case, data, and reporting documentation
• Collaborate with team members to support departmental needs
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect all PHI

Requirements

• Experience in data entry, customer service, or call center operations
• Familiarity with medical records and medical terminology
• Experience supporting patient care or medical workflows (non-clinical)
• Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to identify and report data inconsistencies
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced call center environment
