Support non-clinical functions for case management services in a high-volume call center, assisting Case Managers with scheduling, outreach, documentation, and administrative tasks to ensure effective member care.
Responsibilities
- Support Case Managers by coordinating non-clinical tasks essential to case management operations
- Work in a call center environment making outbound and receiving inbound member calls
- Schedule medical appointments, durable medical equipment, home health services, and other support services
- Perform eligibility and benefit verifications
- Request, track, and manage medical records
- Complete accurate and timely data entry
- Review medical management reports and identify discrepancies
- Conduct outbound telephonic outreach to members regarding Case Management programs
- Maintain accurate and reliable case, data, and reporting documentation
- Collaborate with team members to support departmental needs
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect all PHI
Requirements
- Experience in data entry, customer service, or call center operations
- Familiarity with medical records and medical terminology
- Experience supporting patient care or medical workflows (non-clinical)
- Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to identify and report data inconsistencies
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced call center environment
