About This Role

This is a contract position for an OR Registered Nurse in Umatilla, Oregon, focusing on delivering safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the operating room and perioperative services. The role primarily functions as an RN first assistant during operative and invasive procedures to ensure positive surgical outcomes. When not assisting directly, the nurse may take on supporting roles as scrub or circulator.

Responsibilities

• Serve as RN first assistant during surgical and invasive procedures, applying clinical expertise and skills.
• Provide perioperative care throughout the continuum in alignment with practice scope and credentialing.
• Perform secondary roles such as scrub or circulator to support team effectiveness when not first assisting.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to promote patient safety and exceptional care standards.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Specialized operating room nursing experience with perioperative skills
• Ability to serve as first assistant to surgeons with verified competency
• Familiarity with sterile techniques and OR protocols
