Optimization Manager, Renewables

About This Role

Effectively manage all aspects of optimization for Renewables, overseeing projects and ensuring successful implementation of optimization initiatives. This role involves strategy development, execution, and continuous improvement within the Innovation and Optimization team to drive cost reduction and revenue growth.

Responsibilities

• Identify improvement initiatives aimed at reducing costs or increasing revenue, with a focus on integrating with the GIS platform
• Define business cases with key stakeholders, aligning with organizational goals and growth strategies
• Develop comprehensive project roadmaps including detailed plans, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
• Assess program performance and trends, benchmarking and presenting findings to senior leadership
• Research trends, secure client stakeholder buy-in, and collaborate with teams to implement changes
• Build strategic relationships to identify high-impact initiatives
• Lead and oversee project teams, ensuring effective communication and coordination
• Monitor project progress, track KPIs, manage interdependencies, and adjust plans as needed
• Manage project budgets and resource allocation
• Address stakeholder concerns, maintaining positive relationships and open communication channels
• Plan for and mitigate risks across all projects in the program, adapting to evolving circumstances
• Maintain comprehensive program documentation
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and conduct regular reviews and assessments
• Evaluate project success, document lessons learned, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement

Requirements

• Deep knowledge and experience in the Renewables industry
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, GIS, or related field
• 3+ years of experience using ESRI products and/or knowledge of software development best practices
• Proven experience as a program manager handling multiple $1M+ projects
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, GIS, or related field. MBA preferred.
• 3+ years of experience using ESRI products and/or knowledge of software development best practices. Proven experience as a program manager handling multiple $1M+ projects.
