Optical Supervisor

About This Role

As an Optical Supervisor, you will lead a team of optical professionals, applying your expertise to deliver exceptional customer experiences with eyewear, overseeing store operations, and fostering a productive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to help meet all of their eyewear needs
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear, and execute these details with flawless accuracy
• Check that finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers
• Set up the store daily by ensuring operational, service, and staff zoning procedures are executed to Warby Parker standards
• Drive store vision and sales by providing above-and-beyond service on the floor and acting as the main contact for customer and operational questions
• Lead and mentor the Optical team, including Optician Apprentice Program participants
• Help maintain general store systems, inventory databases, and business operations
• Foster and support a productive, positive employee culture in the store

Requirements

• Licensed dispensing optician in states that require a license OR ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states
• 2+ years of experience, including supervisor responsibilities
• Passionate about the eyewear and retail industries
• Clear, effective, and professional communicator
• Energetic, positive team player
• Extremely detail-oriented, cool under pressure, and capable of juggling a wide range of responsibilities
• Not on the Office of Inspector General's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience, including supervisor responsibilities, with a licensed dispensing optician or ABO-certified optician background
